Turmeric is also called 'Indian saffron'
because of its brilliant yellow color and Indian turmeric is
considered the best in the world. India alone produces nearly
the whole world's crop of turmeric and uses 80% of it. In
today's India, turmeric is added to nearly every dish be it non-
vegetarian or vegetables.

Aromatherapy properties: Relaxing and stimulating,
balancing.
How to use it:
Dilute Turmeric oil in carrier oil like grape seed or canola oil
and use in preparing stews, sauces and savory dishes (3 drops
per 1 oz. of oil).
Add to diffuser as part of an exotic blend.
Blends well with: Turmeric can lend a very distinct softness and
roundness to a spicy blend. Great with Ginger, Ylang Ylang,
Cistus Labdanum, Clary Sage and spices.
Great for oriental/fantasy type aromas.
History: Well known as a domestic spice worldwide.
Turmeric is one of the spices used in Curry, and giving it its
strong yellow color. Turmeric is a wonderful addition to meat
dishes, and harmonizes very well with many spices and garlic.
Specific Safety information: Possible toxic and irritating
effects in large concentration - use sparingly. Always dilute.
