Botanical Name: Eucalyptus globulus

This essential oil is obtained by vapor distillation of the leaves, and has a characteristic smell. It is found in India. It is used for ulcers, coughs, colds, sore throats, parasitic skin affections, flu, sinusitis, laryngitis, asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, cystitis, rheumatism, muscle aches and joint pains. The leaves of this tree cool the body and relieve fever. This essential oil stimulates local blood flow. It is administered to horses in influenza, to dogs in distemper, to all animals in septicemia. It is anti-biotic, anti-viral, anti-fungal, antiseptic, and expectorant. It may be used for massage, bathing, inhalation, diffusion and insect repelling.
